Which ingredients contain products from nanoquartz?

The main components are various mineral oxides, for example silica, also referred to as active components. In addition, distilled water or denatured ethanol as solvents. For more information, please visit our product page.

What is the "easy-to-clean" – effect?

The English phrase "easy-to-clean" describes the essential property of nano coatings: treated surfaces are easier to clean – very banal, nothing more, but nothing less. "Easy" describes various aspects of cleaning:

1. Determining the degree of contamination of the surface

A surface treated with a nano sealant will always be less contaminated compared to an untreated surface, by the same exposure to strain and dirt. This is because particles of any kind adhere less on a nano-coated surface. Consequently, they are from the outset in advantage for a cleaning.


2. Detachment of dirt from the surface

That a layer of dirt even can be removed from the surface, the bond between the surface of the dirt must be broken. This is done with the respectively appropriate solvent, e.g. water, surfactants, alcohol or mixtures of these. When the bond between contamination (dirt, lime, grease) and surface is less, then significantly less solvent is needed, or it may even be generally converted to water as the one and only solvent. Since nano-coatings covering the "crater structure" of each surface, particles adhere are no longer in the microscopic irregularities.


3. Removal of the soluted dirt

As the bond between dirt and surface is broken, it still needs to be removed. In practice, this takes place for example with a cloth or by gravity (at windows or facades). This step also may overlap with the preceding one, depending on the application.

Now the cleaning of a surface is substantially complete. Considering now the required time, the result is a roughly halved cleaning time compared to the uncoated surface. In addition, the contamination of the surface is reduced, as indicated in the first point, so it must be cleaned in total less often. In summary, it must be observed:
  • less cleaning overall
  • when clean, then with little effort
  • use less dissolving cleaner, at best, only water

How much is a nano coating?

The costs of a nanocoating consist primarily of two components: the material, so the coating itselfs, and the wages, if not applied by the customer on its own. It depends on what is to be coated. These different questions must be answered in advance: Should the surface be cleaned before? Is it a highly absorbent surface? How many coating solution must be applied? What is the intended area of application?
Our reward is of course also part of the calculation, if we make you an offer. We group ourselves into a moderate level in the existing price structure and are, as we act independently, not bound by tariffs or similar remuneration arrangements.
We also do not have too large stocks, so we can procure with optimum conditions for you on demand. This is our way to keep costs low. Then there are the costs incurred in advance, for example in intensive consultations or visits. These are costs depending on the whole scope of the order and are thus more or less significant. We try to plan our tours and actions useful, to avoid additional costs for you.

Are the solvents used dangerous?

Solvents, as we understand them, are the liquid constituents of the nano coating. These are merely needed to be able to apply the coatings. Solvents are distilled water and alcohol. During the application of solutions with alcohol as a solvent, there is a slight olfactory load due to its evaporation.
